Webflow Ecommerce vs Shopify admin

A Shopify-quality admin, without migrating.

Shopify’s back office is more complete than Webflow’s. That’s fair to say. But moving means rebuilding your design, products, customers and URLs. Flowcommander adds the missing admin to Webflow, so you can keep the store you’ve built.

When Shopify wins

Be honest: sometimes you should move.

If you need features Webflow Ecommerce doesn’t have at all (a big app ecosystem, multi-location inventory, point of sale), Shopify is probably the right call, and no admin panel will change that.

But if what you mostly want is better reports, faster packing and easier products, that’s a back-office problem, not a platform problem.

Questions, answered

Is the Shopify admin better than Webflow’s?

For running a store day to day, Shopify’s admin is more complete out of the box. Webflow wins on design control. Flowcommander exists to close the admin gap without giving up Webflow’s front end.

Can I use Shopify’s admin with a Webflow site?

Only by moving your commerce to Shopify, either fully or with a tool that connects a Webflow front end to a Shopify backend (see our Webflow ecommerce tools roundup). That means running two platforms.

How much do Webflow and Shopify cost?

Webflow Ecommerce starts at $29/month billed yearly (2% transaction fee on Standard). Shopify UK starts at £19/month billed yearly. Compare them with your own numbers in the fee calculator.
